| Redding California is not only a great place to call home, but a very beautiful city with distinct seasons. You might say a river runs through it, that's fairly obvious. Redding, seat of Shasta County, is neatly bisected by the Sacramento River. Much of the core of the city is just west of it and the newer sections with more shopping options than would be expected given our size are to the east of the Sacramento River. |
| I hope you enjoy the pictures that include just a few of the locations that make this growing and vibrant city. We are one of the top destinations or vacationers, retires and for those in large metropolitan areas looking for their next home. |
| Of the many reasons to enjoy Redding is the accessibility to the outdoors including three large lakes, multiple rivers, mountains, alpine lakes, snow & water skiing, fishing, gold mining and many more activities. |

| Enjoy ! |

The Cascade originally seated 1348, during it's second life it was converted into 4 small theaters for running second run movies for a one dollar admission. Today the theater has returned to the beauty of old and hosts events ranging from dinner theater, to concerts, and fund raising dance recitals. Visit their web site. |

Park Marina Drive
The Park Marina area is beautiful in it's current form and with plans in the works to redesign this riverfront gem it will be spectacular. Just down river from the Sundial Bridge. These views are looking to the west and into the downtown portion of town. |

Sacramento River Trail System
The two photos on the left were taken from the same spot on the Sacramento River Trail just
north of Caldwell Park, as you can see it was in the winter
months, the Diestelhorst bridge shown was built in 1915. The bridge just barely visible behind
it is it's replacement for automotive traffic the original now
is only for pedestrian type traffic. In the third picture is a pedestrian only suspension
bridge upon it's opening in 1990. Down river to the south east is highly renowned Sundial
Bridge. Visit the Redding Trails web site for more. |
